Last Sunday was our first 6 hr + Nordic walk and it proved to be an epic! Lostwithiel to Fowey, with a spot of lunch at the harbour before the return, the 8.2 miles distance in certain oars of the country would be a snip, however as SW walkers know the terrain we have with height increases and losses give most routes a testing time. The weather was perfect and we will be competing a long day walk each month during the summer, well worth our earlier 9am starts which beat the holiday makers and give us parking with no problems.
